When it is expedient to remain still and whoever move first will fall into danger, Wait – The Wiles Of War, Ancient China

Strategy is a balance being which requires not only how to achieve the desired end, but also adjusting ends so that realistic ways can be found to meet them with available means

Strategy:

  • Ability to look from short-term and trivial, to long-term and essential 
  • Address causes rather than symptoms or to see Woods rather than trees 
  • A balanced Being to maintain 
    • Ends 
    • Ways and means 
  • Provide effective application and appropriate sequence whenever called
    • For a path with a given destination but not straightforward 
    • About a required judgment for needed resources

 

When two enemies are engaged in a fight that will result in defeat or injury, wait – The Wiles Of War, Ancient China

Strategy is about identifying objectives and comes into activation when actual or potential conflict happens, when interests collide and forms of resolution are required. 

When the enemy forces, though numerous, suffer from mistrust and tend to plot against one another, wait – The Wiles Of War, Ancient China

A plan supposes a sequence of events that allow one to move with confidence from one state of affairs to another – Unlike a Strategy that is required when others might frustrate one’s plan because they have different and possibly opposing interests and concerns.
